Man City, Barcelona go for Japanese whizkid Takefusa Kubo

Manchester City face a battle with Barcelona for Japanese whizkid Takefusa Kubo.

Mundo Deportivo says City are interested in Takefusa Kubo, a 17-year-old forward from FC Tokyo, on loan at City's sister club Yokohama F. Marinos.

City are interested in Kubo, along with PSG, but the player has 'agreed in principle' a deal to join Barcelona.

The youngster would join the club he spent four years at until 2015 when he turns 18 in June.
