Man City, Barcelona alerted as Alaba Bayern Munich contract talks hit deadlock

David Alaba could yet be on the move from Bayern Munich before the summer market shuts.

The Austria international is inside the final year of his current deal and unhappy with Bayern's latest offer.

BILD says the last meeting between all parties was held on August 14. Alaba's father and advisor Georg, agent Pini Zahavi and Bayern sports director Hasan Salihamidzic spent time at Bayern's team hotel.

The club's current offer amounts to a base salary of €11m plus €6m in performance-related bonus payments. The Austrian is currently collecting up to €15m. A wage increase of two million is far too small for the 28-year-old. Alaba is demanding closer to €20m-a-year to re-sign with Bayern.

And with everything at deadlock, there is now a growing chance that Bayern will choose to sell in the coming weeks. Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Manchester City are all monitoring developments closely.
