Manchester City attacker Sinan Bytyqi has broken down on-loan at SC Cambuur.

The young Austrian suffered a serious knee injury against Heracles Almelo, with scans on Tuesday confirming a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

It's a heartbreaker for Bytyqi as he had just fought his way into coach Henk de Jong's starting XI.

His season is now over and is expected to return to City for his rehab.

His move to Cambuur was Bytyqi's first taste of senior football.
