Manchester City attacker Kevin de Bruyne has defended John Stones over his England errors.

City defender Stones is being blamed for England's Nations League defeat to Holland.

But Belgium winger De Bruyne says: "For me, I think he [Stones] played a good game except for the mistake he made. When you play in a team like City where we are used to playing out of the back, we give each other options.

“When you go to a different team and try to do the same but you don't get the options, it's very difficult to play differently. I think everyone knows what John's strengths are, but he can't do it by himself, he needs help there."
