The Premier League want to prioritise playing games that are in hand, according to chief executive Richard Masters.
Manchester City, Arsenal, Sheffield United and Aston Villa all have ten matches remaining, one more than the rest of their Premier League opponents.
The competition is hoping to restart on June 12, and Masters wants those teams to catch-up.
"It is a relatively normal occurrence for, at this stage of the season, there to be displaced matches that have to be played," he said.
"But I think it is a good idea to prioritise games that have to be played first relatively early in the schedule."
