Manchester City are moving for Wayne Rooney's eldest son following the former England captain's return to England.
City snapped up nine-year-old Kai Rooney from under the noses of arch-rivals Manchester United in 2016 when his dad was at Old Trafford, says the Mirror.
And when Rooney moved from Everton to play for DC United in the MLS in the summer of 2018 they told the youngster that they would look to take him back into the City Football Group when the family came back from the United States.
Rooney is back in England after taking up the offer to be a player-coach with Derby County.
