Man City ace Gabriel Jesus: I want to live up to Aguero expectations

Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus says he must continue to score goals to emulate Sergio Aguero.

The Brazilian's double helped City beat Everton 2-1 on New Year's Day.

And with Aguero still sidelined with injury, Jesus wants to take his chance.

“I have to try to score every time, because we have Sergio of course," Jesus said after the win.

“Sergio scores every game, so I have to learn from him. When I go on the pitch I have to score.

“It's always good to start the year with a victory. The team played very well and I'm very happy to score, but the guys played so well today."

Jesus added: “That I keep scoring against Everton, I think it's a coincidence! I am happy with the victory, the team played so well. We kept the ball, passed and created chances."
