Manchester City ace Kevin de Bruyne isn't bothered about a move for Barcelona captain Leo Messi falling through.
City were favourites to land Messi before the Argentine withdraw his transfer demand last week.
De Bruyne insists: "I don't care, I really don't care.
"Of course, if Messi moved to Manchester City, he would help our team, because, in my opinion, he is the best footballer of all time. However, I never pay much attention to who can come and what can happen.
"We need to play with the players who are in the team, and I think that we have a good lineup in this regard. It would be foolish to assume what will happen if a certain footballer joins us.
"This happens all the time in football. It seems like the person has almost crossed over, and the transfer eventually fails."
