Malaga president Abdullah Al-Thani has moved to walk back his Barcelona "scum" comments this week.
Al-Thani came under fire for tweeting about how 'the scum of Catalonia' would not get to enjoy winning the LaLiga title, with Barcelona's best chances of a Real Madrid slip up perhaps coming against Malaga.
"I'm referring to the press of that community who have said that Michel will win that game and deliver them LaLiga," Al-Thani tweeted. "It is unacceptable.
"We do not sell games and I demand an apology from the press."
Barcelona have referred the matter to LaLiga's Competition Committee and Integrity Department, as well as the Supreme Council of Sport's Anti-Violence Committee and released a statement voicing their displeasure with the comments.
