Mainz midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin will resist any major approach from Arsenal this summer.
Mainz management is confident of Gbamin's commitment, despite the Gunners being prepared to offer €30m for the youngster.
The 22 year-old, reports BILD, has assured Mainz he's willing to stay for at least one more season.
"Jean-Philippe is a very important player for us, he has played a very convincing second season and also made a step up in his personality," declared club chief Rouven Schröder.
Interestingly, with Gbamin's commitment, Mainz have decided to release former Manchester City midfielder Nigel de Jong.
