Riyad Mahrez is putting off new contract talks with Manchester City.
The Algeria attacker has a deal to 2023 with City, which are keen to discuss new terms.
The Telegraph reports, however, that Mahrez is baulking at kicking off negotiations as he considers his options.
Mahrez wants a greater role in City manager Pep Guardiola's plans and knows he counts on the admiration of Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane.
The attacker, 30, has scored nine goals from midfield so far this season.
