Maguire admits Bruce big influence on Hull move

Harry Maguire admits manager Steve Bruce was a big influence over his decision to join Hull City.

Former Sheffield United defender Maguire joined the Tigers on a three-year deal, with the Club having the option of a further year, for a fee of £2.5m.

"A lot of things attracted me to Hull City," Maguire said. "But a big factor was the manager.

"Steve Bruce is a great manager. He was a centre-back himself during his playing days - and a very good one at that - so I'm sure he'll be willing to pass on a bit of advice.

"With the contract I've signed here, I'm sure he will have a big say in improving me as a player and helping me to progress and develop.

"Coming here and training under the manager, along with the rest of the players in the squad, can only help me kick on, improve and develop my game."
