James Maddison is ready to extend his contract with Leicester City.
The Mirror says Leicester are close to tying Maddison to a new contract, dealing a transfer blow to Manchester United.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has long been an admirer of the attacking midfielder, whose performances have helped the Foxes to second in the Premier League and eight wins in succession.
And, having secured the future of Brendan Rodgers until 2025 in a deal worth £40million, Leicester want to keep hold of their big stars, starting with Maddison.
The 23-year-old currently earns £60,000 per week on a deal until 2023 and is in line for a significant pay rise if he agrees new terms.
