Mackie: QPR players must accept responsibility

Jamie Mackie says QPR players must accept responsibility for Mark Hughes' sacking.

The Welshman was given his marching orders on Friday after Rangers failed to win any of their opening 12 Premier League games, with Harry Redknapp confirmed as his successor.

"We have to [accept responsibility]," said Mackie.

"The manager brought a lot of players in and the ones who were there already have to look at themselves as well when a manager gets sacked.

"It's far too easy to point the finger at any boss of a football club. You need to make sure it comes from within and you do your best day in, day out for whoever's in charge."
