Ross County boss Malky Mackay is delighted with their deal for Southampton fullback Jake Vokins.

Vokins has joined Ross County on a season-long loan.

Mackay told the club's website: “Jake is a very talented young player that has been exposed to football at the very top level. When you look at some of the games he has played in it shows the faith, belief and trust from the football management at Southampton in his ability and potential and it is exciting to add Jake for the upcoming season.

“We identified Jake very early on as a player we would like to try and bring into our group, as a player with experience in the Premier League, Cup competitions and at International level. It is a brilliant opportunity for Jake to showcase himself in the Scottish Premiership and we are really looking forward to working with him here in Dingwall."
