Mac Allister scores injury-time penalty as Brighton and Brentford play out 3-3 stunner

Brighton ace Alexis Mac Allister scored a last-minute penalty to draw 3-3 with Brentford at Falmer Stadium.

The Seagulls fought back three times to earn the point.

Brentford took the lead twice in a frantic first half but were pegged back, before Ethan Pinnock scored what looked to be the winner four minutes after the break.

But Brighton were awarded a late spot-kick after Aaron Hickey blocked Deniz Undav's goalbound shot with his arm. Referee Michael Oliver awarded the penalty after checking the video replay and Mac Allister converted from the spot in the 90th minute.

The visitors first scored through Pontus Jansson in the 10th minute. Brighton struck the equaliser 11 minutes later as Kaoru Mitoma raced on to goalkeeper Jason Steele's long ball and calmly lifting it over the onrushing David Raya.

Brentford were back in front within 90 seconds through Ivan Toney then the Seagulls equalised again on 28 minutes as Solly March's cross saw Danny Welbeck head home from close range.

Pinnock had the visitors 3-2 ahead after halftime before Hickey's handball.
