Mac Allister late strike steals Brighton draw with Crystal Palace

Brighton scored an injury-time penalty to secure a 1-1 draw with rivals Crystal Palace.

The Seagulls dominated the entire contest and were unfortunate to be down 1-0 after Palace were awarded a soft penalty due to Tariq Lamptey's challenge on Michy Batshuayi.

Wilfried Zaha converted from the spot to put Palace ahead, which would be their only shot on target for the game.

Graham Potter's side looked like they would be leaving Selhurst Park empty handed until Alexis Mac Allister netted a 90th-minute equaliser, latching on to fellow substitute Aaron Connolly's lay-off.

Speaking after the game, Albion boss Potter said: "Putting the ball in the net was missing. We created chances and were the dominant team. You can see that quite clearly.

"The scoreline affects it a bit because we were 1-0 down, but I was pleased. They scored one goal from their only entry into our box. One slight mistake will go against you and you have to respond. We did that well."
