Lyon striker Maxwel Cornet admits he was flattered by praise from Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

Despite a difficult season, Cornet has impressed in the Champions League - including against City.

He told Foot Mercato: "Of course it's flattering. It even pleased me.

"He is a very great coach. But you really do not have to stop at that. I am young. It makes you want to continue to reaffirm this kind of performance and grow even more to aspire to play for clubs such as Real Madrid, Manchester City, etc..."
