Olympique Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas was proud of his players after their shock win at Manchester City.

Aulas was delighted for Genesio, who was targeted by local press after his row with fans targeting his daughter.

He stated: "It's a great feat, because we were in a bad situation. Bruno (Genesio) has thought well this match. His tactics worked. It was perfect, like what Bruno had imagined.

"The players were magnificent. City played very fast and very fair. They had a lot of opportunities. This feat will put us back in the right direction. Bruno did the right thing. The players play for him. I take my hat off and I'm happy for him."
