Olympique Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas is delighted with the form of Memphis Depay.

The former Manchester United attacker struck twice in victory over Metz on the weekend.

Aulas enthused: "He's a good surprise, we had been expecting not to see this for three months, he had told us because he had played very little.

"He has already scored some goals and will score again. His personality too is a huge surprise as everyone tells me that he is really a chic guy and a boy who pulls up the whole club.

"You have to look at the long-term, but things look good. It's important when you get into a team to show, even if he has the talent and is among the best European players, that he can be part of a collective."
