Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas admits he wants to sign Atletico Madrid fullback Filipe Luis.

The 33-year-old has asked to delay any decision on his future until after the Copa America, where he is with the Brazil national team.

"We went to see him play for Brazil lately, for now we are far away [from a deal]," Aulas confirmed in a press conference.

"He's a player with a lot of quality, but he wants time to take his decision, he wants to wait for the end of the Copa America which is July 8.

"We are in a rush to announce some signings, but he's one who interests us, the president and owner more than the coaches."
