Lyon midfielder Lucas Paqueta insists he holds no grudge against former club AC Milan.

He was sold to Lyon in September for €20m plus a 15 per cent cut of any future sale.

“I feel no rancour towards Milan, nor a desire for revenge," Paqueta told L'Equipe.

“In fact, I thank them for this period of my life, even though it was painful. That's part of life.

“Now I want to rediscover my football, which is about joy, the kind we play in Brazil. I feel that here in Lyon there is the right energy to do that."
