Olympique Lyon attacker Xherdan Shaqiri admits he is planning for a coaching future.

Shaqiri left Liverpool over the summer for Lyon, where he has kicked off his Ligue 1 career in style.

He told Le Progres: "I feel good, as long as the hip and knee resist I am happy.

"I love football and I hope to play as long as possible. When I retire, I think I'll stay in the world of football.

"Maybe I'll try to become a manager."
