A Bosman battle is kicking off after Olympique Lyon announced Moussa Dembele will leave at the end of the season.

Off contract in June, the France striker is free to sign pre-contract terms immediately with any foreign club.

Former Fulham striker Dembele has been linked with Everton, Southampton and Atletico Madrid this season.

OL director Vincent Ponsot confirmed today: "It's not a good situation for us to know that he'll be on a free-for-all basis at the end of the season. We spent 22 million euros on him and it is a great regret.

"More and more players are released at the end of the contract, obviously it is their right."
