Former Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal says Pep Guardiola has transformed Sergio Aguero since his arrival at Manchester City.

Van Gaal insists Aguero is now a team player thanks to his manager's influence.

He told El Pais: "Guardiola won with Barcelona because he had Messi and because he did not let Messi play his way. That is the difference. Messi adjusted to Guardiola's plan, and not the other way around.

“Guardiola gets the most difficult: that the players move in the exact direction at the right time. To achieve something like this you must create a language, a team spirit, a community.
