Former Real Madrid coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo believes they gaffed selling Cristiano Ronaldo.

Juventus paid a club record €112m to sign Ronaldo last summer.

Luxemburgo stated: "I trained Real Madrid and I know how much such a player hurts opponents, also big opponents.

"Today, Real Madrid has no more player of this kind. They do not have a player who makes opponents feel that they have no hope.

"The opponents no longer say, 'Today I have to face Cristiano Ronaldo'.

"Real no longer has a player like that."
