Luke Shaw has found himself behind fellow left-back Brandon Williams at Manchester United.
Shaw, 24, has not played since August due to injury but has travelled as part of a youthful squad for the Europa League clash with Astana.
Teenager Brandon Williams has impressed in his absence and scored his first goal for the club in the draw with Sheffield United on Sunday.
And boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is believed to have told Shaw that Williams is now ahead of him in the United pecking order, says the Mirror.
Solskjaer was planning on bringing in a left-back in January to test Shaw's resolve.
But those plans have been shelved due to Williams' performances.
