Lukas Rupp says Norwich can draw positives from Spurs defeat

Lukas Rupp says Norwich City can draw positives from defeat to Tottenham last night.

Speaking after the game, Rupp was in good spirits after his first start for the Canaries.

He told the club's website, “It was a good game from us. Of course, we are disappointed, but we had the chances. If we keep on going like that, we will get the points.

“One point is deserved from this game but that's football. Tottenham are a great team but in the end it [the win] wasn't deserved for them.

“I'm very tired. It was a tough game, the first game after four months for me. It's quite hard for me. But I will recover for the next game on Saturday."

The Canaries had plenty of opportunities during the game and Rupp went close on a couple of occasions: “It's not easy. It's like one second and you have to think what you are doing. I have to be a little bit calmer with the ball.

Reflecting on his first City start and introduction to life in Norwich, Rupp said: “The supporters were great, thank you very much [to them]. My brother was in the stadium and I was in the starting eleven – next time I have to score and we have to win.

“Everybody has been very kind to me and they all want to help. I like the city but I haven't seen too much. I'm very happy to be here."
