Romelu Lukaku has revealed he urged Kai Havertz to join Chelsea last summer.
With Inter Milan, Lukaku faced off against Havertz in the Europa League quarter-finals last August and saw enough of his talents to convince him he was a fit for the Blues.
Speaking to the club in his first full interview, Lukaku spoke about the game and how impressed he was with Havertz as he prepares to join him in attack.
"I spoke to Kai Havertz when we played against each other in the Europa League, and I told him to go to Chelsea, I dont know if he remembers that conversation," he told the club's official website.
Chelsea ended up snapping up the talented young German for around £71m from Bayer Leverkusen the following month.
