Romelu Lukaku convinced Ashley Young and Alexis Sanchez to quit Manchester United with promises that Inter Milan had the happier dressing room.
The Belgian has been one of the biggest exits from Old Trafford in years after signing for Inter Milan in 2019. Last season, Sanchez and Young also made the move to the San Siro - the former on loan and the latter in January.
And in the summer, a fee was agreed with United making Sanchez's loan spell permanent.
La Repubblica says Lukaku had a say in both deals, revealing that life at Inter was brilliant - because there were no cliques. The report states that United's dressing room has become toxic with too many factions growing within the squad.
Some discontent had been brewed as a result of Sanchez's high wages.
There were some who disagreed with the fact that the Chilean was given such a large contract whereas their own loyalty had not been rewarded.
