Luka Modric agrees new terms with Real Madrid

Luka Modric is ready to sign a new deal with Real Madrid.

Marca says Modric has reached an agreement in principle to extend his contract at Real Madrid beyond its current expiration of June 2021.

The Croatian international will renew his deal for another year - to June 30, 2022 - at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

When this extended contract expires at the end of next season, the midfielder will have completed a decade as a Real Madrid player after joining from Tottenham Hotspur in 2012.

During his eight and a half years in the Spanish capital, Modric has won four Champions League titles and two LaLiga Santander titles, among other trophies, as well as the Ballon d'Or at individual level.
