Luiz happy as Chelsea thump Watford to strengthen top four hopes

Chelsea strengthened their hold onto a top four place with a 3-0 win over Watford on Sunday.

After quiet first half, Chelsea scored twice within three minutes early in the second period through headers by Ruben Loftus-Cheek and David Luiz.

Gonzalo Higuain sealed the points with a neat finish from Pedro's pass for his fifth goal for the club.

The win moves Chelsea one point ahead of Tottenham and five points clear of fifth-placed Arsenal, who host Brighton later on Sunday.

Afterwards, Blues defender David Luiz said: "It was good for us, we got our opportunity, we scored and then we killed the game.

"The schedule is tough, but when you have fantastic players, more than just 11, we can rotate and have the same quality. We have that. It's tough but it's tough for everybody.

"We did well to get the three points but we have to still fight until the end."
