Barcelona great Luis Suarez remains unconvinced by Ronald Koeman's team, despite victory at Elche.
Barca won 2-0 thanks to goals from Frenkie de Jong and Riqui Puig.
But Luisito declared via AS: "Barça is a lifeless team. You just have to wait for things to improve.
"Very little important things to review."
However, the former Barca and Inter Milan star did find one bright spot during the game with the form shown by diminutive midfielder Puig. The homespun talent hasn't seen eye-to-eye with coach Ronald Koeman this season, but was decisive in Sunday's 2-0 win.
For Luisito, Puig's place in the team is a must and he has challenged Koeman to up his man-management of the young midfield schemer.
The Spanish great enthused: "About Riqui Puig, the coach has to do the job. He does technically interesting things. They have to try to improve the environment, caress him and warm him a little.
"He has qualities and you have to take advantage of it.
"He is an interesting boy, he has personality, he makes himself seen. With the lack of players, we have to recover this kid!"
Victory on Sunday at Elche saw Barca move up to third place on the table, ten points behind LaLiga leaders Atletico Madrid, which also boast a game in hand.
Puig, now 21, came right through the La Masia system at Barca and made his first team debut in December 2018. He has a contract to 2023, having renewed terms in a low-key fashion earlier this month.
