Aston Villa defender Ludwig Augustinsson has vowed to grasp every chance that he gets this season.

The Sweden international, who is a left-back, made his second Premier League appearance in a 2-1 win over Brighton before the World Cup break.

Augustinsson, who is on loan from Sevilla, wants to play a lot more when the league resumes at the end of December.

He said, per the Express and Star: “For me, it's about taking every chance I get and working hard.

“When you get the chance, you have to do well. Then more chances will appear.

“There will be many matches so he will need the whole squad.

“Sometimes you need to change because someone is tired or worn out.

“There will be many matches so we will have to rotate."
