Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic has targeted victory in the Champions League next season but believes the Blues will need luck on their side.

Matic has arrived back in England with his Chelsea teammates after the Premier League champions' pre-season tour of the USA and has already spoken of his club's targets for next season.

Having been eliminated in the first knockout stages in last years Champions League, Matic is hoping that the west Londoners can do better next season, with a little bit of help from lady luck.

Matic said: "Of course we´re not happy that we didn´t play so well in the Champions League, but we hope this season we can go further. My dream is to win it and we will see if we are ready this season."

"To be champion you need everything. Quality, luck everything. This season I hope we have more luck and with our quality this is enough to be champions."
