Luciano Spalletti has announced he is leaving Napoli.

Despite leading Napoli to this season's Serie A Scudetto, Spalletti has chosen to step down as coach.

He explained, "Sometimes too much love is all that's left.

"Now I'm not able to give everything Napoli deserves. I need to rest. I feel tired. I need to disconnect for a bit. I won't coach Napoli or other teams.

"I'll be off for a year."
