Lucas: Spurs must not cry about Kane, Son

Lucas Moura has urged Tottenham teamates not to dwell on the absences of strike-pair Harry Kane and Heung-min Son.

Lucas was reacting to their 1-0 home Champions League defeat to RB Leipzig in the first-leg of their round 16 tie.

The Brazilian said: “We lose two big strikers but we cannot cry. We have very good players that can score as well.

“That's the game. Every team has problems such as this. We can go there and we can score.

“We can turn it around, the game is not over.

“We will prepare well and I am sure we are capable to go there and qualify."

To progress, Spurs will have to replicate their feat from last season where they overturned a 1-0 first-leg deficit to win in Amsterdam.

Moura, 27, rarely threatened against Leipzig but is adamant that he can rediscover his shooting boots in Germany in three weeks.

The ex-Paris Saint-Germain man added: “I will give my best.

“We know that in football everything can happen and we will not give up. We need to believe and that's what I do every time."
