Piazon, who left Chelsea for Fulham on a season-long loan on the same day, got the chance to catch up with the returning Luiz and admits the West London comeback for his fellow Brazilian even took him by surprise.
“It was crazy," said Piazon in the Daily Mail.
“I was one of the first to see him. I said, 'I can't believe you're here'. He laughed and said, 'You never know what to believe in football'.
“I lived with him when I first arrived and had a great time. We were both new in the city and our families were in Brazil. We'd drive everywhere together and eat meals together. We just had a good relationship.
“He's a good guy, always happy and trying to make people feel well. He's a great team-mate and a great centre back. He'll be an important player for Chelsea."
