Lucas Hernandez is happy to battle Filipe Luis for the left-back spot at Atletico Madrid.

The World Cup winner is in direct competition with Luis, who has just won a recall to the Brazil squad.

"Filipe is a very good player, one of the best players in the world," said Lucas.

"When the coach selects Filipe, it puts me in a state of a little nerves, but I do my best to show him.

"I want to show that he can count on me when he selects me."
