Lucas Digne was full of pride wearing the captain's armband for Everton yesterday.
The fullback led the Blues to victory over West Ham.
Digne told Canal Plus: "Our captain was suspended and Gylfi (Sigurdsson) was not starting, so I knew I was going to be captain.
"The coach had spoken to me. I took it with a lot of pleasure. It's an honuor to be captain of this team because they are great guys, it's a big club. It's a big responsibility.
"The coach gives me confidence and I can be proud."
