Lowry leaves Birmingham for Perth Glory

Shane Lowry has had his contract with Birmingham City mutually terminated.

The 26-year-old Australian defender has departed St Andrew's less than five months after joining the Championship club from Leyton Orient.

Lowry has now joined A-League club Perth Glory having made just two appearances for the Blues although the Western Australian outfit have not yet officially announced the transfer.

The former Aston Villa man has spent his entire career in the UK thus far, playing for Plymouth Argyle, Leeds United, Sheffield United and Millwall with his most successful stint coming with the Lions between 2011 and 2014.
