Real Madrid's slow start to 2015 has seen new contract talks with coach Carlo Ancelotti stall. While Real were back to winning ways against Getafe on the weekend, Ancelotti's team were dumped out of the Copa del Rey last week by city rivals Atletico Madrid.
Sport says the sluggish form has seen negotiations with Ancelotti over a new contract stall.
Ancelotti's deal runs to 2016 and it's suggested Germany coach Joachim Low is emerging as an alternative for Real president Florentino Perez.
Promoting Castilla coach Zinedine Zidane is also an option being considered.
However, despite the slowing of talks, Perez does not intend to make any changes regarding Ancelotti's position. But he is eyeing 2016 as an opportunity to explore alternatives.
