Losing to Liverpool was not 'good enough' - Crystal Palace midfielder Ledley

Crystal Palace midfielder Joe Ledley cut a disappointed figure following the 2-1 defeat to ten-man Liverpool at Selhurst Park on Sunday.

The Welsh international had given Palace the lead early in the second half before the Reds mounted a comeback in the second half after going down to ten men when James Milner was sent off for two yellow cards.

After Roberto Firmino and Christian Benteke completed a fightback for Liverpool, Ledley told Palace's official website: "In the first half we did some good moves and then second half, 1-0 up and playing against 10 men it's not good enough, we all know that.

"The players we've got here are high quality players and we should be putting in better performances and seeing games out.

"Liverpool going down to 10 men did us no favours, they put us under pressure on the ball and we needed to do better at keeping it. We need to do better as individuals, it happened the other day against Sunderland and we need to start winning games."
