Lorient president Fery: We're proud of Guendouzi's Arsenal impact

Lorient president Loic Fery has no doubt Matteo Guendouzi will be a great success with Arsenal.

The midfielder left Ligue 2Lorient for Arsenal in the summer and has been an ever present since the start of the season.

Fery reflected: "Mattéo Guendouzi was one of the youngest players in the league in Ligue 1. Last year, he tasted the first team and many L2 games and showed a lot of qualities and talent.

"I also think that his FCL experience will help him succeed in his new club. It is in the consistency that he will have to progress. We appreciate him enormously.

"That he joins directly a club like Arsenal reinforces the weight of the ambitions of FCL. We are proud of him. I would like to thank our trainers who he himself thanked."
