Sevilla coach Julen Lopetegui was delighted with their 3-1 win at Rennes.
The result means Sevilla reach the Champions League round of 16.
Lopetegui said, "The key was that we had a good first half, then we lacked something more in tranquility. Rennes have footballers destined to be of the first world order soon. We wanted to impose our game, we had to prevent them from running, although sometimes it was difficult to achieve.
"From the first goal we played well, although we lacked calm to manage at 0-2. We knew how to suffer against a good rival."
He added on getting out of their group: "We must give a lot of credit to this, there are great teams that do not go beyond this phase. Now we focus on LaLiga, which is very tough.
"Draw? We have no preference, it will be a great team and we will go with the ambition to eliminate them."
