Lopetegui on derby triumph: Sevilla superior and we could've scored more

Sevilla coach Julen Lopetegui says they deserved their 2-0 defeat of Real Betis on Thursday.

The LaLiga resumed after a three-month suspension with the Seville derby - as a Lucas Ocampos spotkick and Fernando struck for Sevilla's 2-0 win.

Lopetegui said, "It is a different scenario, they have worked hard and the boys have taken advantage of it. The team has been doing well especially in sacrifice, in attitude and in feeling of a great team.

"We have been superior, we have scored two goals and we could have been able to score more.

"The atmosphere is what it is, you have to adapt and get used to it. The intensity and importance that we have given to the derby has been almost more due to the situation, the uncertainty. It was a historic derby.

"It is a shame to see the stadium empty but I hope people have been able to enjoy it. Although they could not be here we have felt their encouragement and spirit."
