Steven Caulker's protective move from QPR to Lokomotiv Moscow has hit a snag.

Sky Sports is reporting that the 25-year-old former Swansea City, Liverpool, Southampton and Cardiff City defender may now not complete a proposed move to Russia after it had been close to being agreed last week.

Lokomotiv had even posted on Twitter that the deal was almost complete but it is understood that the transfer is now in jeopardy.

There remain reluctant discussions with the R's centre-back but he is now unlikely to leave Loftus Road for Moscow.
