Ruben Loftus-Cheek has nothing but good things to say about his teammate Ethan Ampadu.

The two are among the young players who are vying for a spot in the Chelsea team.

Loftus-Cheek has already impressed this season, starting 6 games for the club in all competitions.

18-year-old Ampadu has a solitary substitute appearance, but is hoping to be involved in the upcoming Europa League game against Vidi.

"In terms of Ethan, he's a great boy and a funny lad," said Loftus-Cheek to the club website.

"I'm really happy for him that he's at Chelsea and doing well when he plays, coming on at right-back against PAOK and doing well.

"If he gets the chance to play tomorrow I'm sure he will do well. He's mentally strong and he has a great attitude."
