LOAN WATCH: Villa's Bent scores winner to give Fulham all three points

On-loan forward Darren Bent came off the bench to provide Fulham with the only goal of the match as the Cottagers beat Stoke City 1-0 on Saturday.

The Aston Villa hitman replaced Dimitar Berbatov after 66 minutes and made his presence felt with seven minutes remaining when the deadlock was finally broken in what was a tense affair at Craven Cottage.

Bent picked up the ball from a deflected Pajtim Kasami shot and managed to beat both Robert Huth and Stoke keeper Asmir Begovic with a swift turn, leaving him open to slot the ball home sending the home crowd into raptures.

It was a valuable three points for under fire manager Martin Jol who saw his side win their first game at home since April 1st.
