On-loan Sunderland forward Connor Wickham's first-half goal sealed all three points for Sheffield Wednesday in their clash with Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday.
20-year old Wickham, who continues his development since his £8million pound transfer to Sunderland from Ipswich Town, was fouled 20 yards out from goal by Hornets defender Nyron Nosworthy after 24 minutes. The result was a rasping free kick that flew past keeper Jonathan Bond.
The goal, which gave Wednesday 1-0 away win, takes the Englishman's season tally to five from seven appearances and he will be hoping to continue his rich form throughout his loan spell that expires at the end of the season.
